How can we continue to read the mail from Outlook Free
The November 11, 2003, the portal Libero.it decided to close the doors to all pop3 users who do not connect to Internet via its access. This means that if you have an address email@libero.it, inwind.it @, @ blu.it o@iol.it and do not use pop free to connect to the internet, you can not access your mail using mail clients like Outlook, Incredimail or Eudora, but you’ll have to connect power from the web site via the www.libero.it
A group of programmers Italians, however, has created a program, totally free, open source, which allows Outlook Express and other clients, also to read the mail, exactly as before and in a perfectly legal! Let’s see how:
First download and run the program FreePOPs. After installation, start the program from “Start – Programs – FreePOPs – FreePOPs” and check that the icon appears in the lower right bar.
Now open Outlook Express and follow the instructions:
From the Tools menu choose the item Accounts …
Select your account and click Properties Available.
In the Server tab in the inbox the name of the computer where you ran LiberoPOPs, usually localhost. The Account name should be your complete email address, followed by the domain it belongs to your email, for example gareuselesinge@libero.it.
In the Advanced settings tab in your Inbox port number, which is 2000, and make sure it cleared the server requires a secure connection such as that found in the image below.
Well, now click on Apply and then Ok.
Remember that every time you turn on the PC, before you open your mail client, you will need to start FreePOPs, if you want to avoid having to do it every time, you can put it in startup.
